February Wrap-Up

NEW BOOKS:
JOY NASH: Talk about highly-anticipated! Joy Nash and her series authors bring back the Immortals series for another round and Joy’s contribution: The Reckoning, just arrived in bookstores.

JoyNash.com value-add: Joy gives us lucky readers an interesting look at the background of Manannán mac Lir, Celtic hero of Immortals: The Crossing, in her Secrets Behind the Story. For history nuts (like me): Perfect!

ALISA SHECKLEY: New name, same great author. Alisa Kwitney turns paranormal with a name change – Alisa Sheckley – and a new book, The Better to Hold You.

AlisaKwitney.com value-add: This one comes with no less than a theme song, sung by Alisa herself. Brave… and really quite good!

SAMANTHA JAMES: She hit big in February with her much-anticipated third McBride book: Bride of a Wicked Scotsman.

SamanthaJames.com value-add: In her online excerpt and Behind the Scenes feature Samantha delivers her interpretation of the legend of Finn McCool and Giant’s Causeway. Awesome.

SOPHIA NASH: Her Love with the Perfect Scoundrel hit shelves in February, continuing her highly-acclaimed Widow’s Club series.

SophiaNash.com value-add: in her online feature where she discusses the muse behind this book, our author charmingly ties young Princess Grace of Monaco and New England Patriot’s quarterback, Tom Brady. Delicious.

MONICA McCARTY: Last month was book one, next month book three. February brought book two, Highland Outlaw, but author Monica McCarty assures they can be read in any order.

MonicaMcCarty.com value-add: anyone who has ever been to Monica’s site knows about her Special Features section, and it’s growing with info to support the new books. One hyphenated word to describe: Content-rich.

KARMA WILSON: Children’s author Karma Wilson brings Mortimer back, this time for Spring with Mortimer’s First Garden.

KarmaWilson.com value-add: See inside both books (Garden and Xmas) — Karma’s site has more than text excerpts, you can see a fully-illustrated page. Cute!

JANE PORTER: It’s a reissue celebration with Jane’s Taken By The Highest Bidder – in the UK anthology Bought by the Rich Man (By Request). I love how the UK keeps these fabulous, OOP books alive!

JanePorter.com value-add: Culinary inspired Book Extras: catch 15 essential ingredients from Provence and the Cote d’Azur, as well as an easy and romantic dessert from a chic hotel in Monte Carlo. Yummy!

JENNIE LUCAS: Her Virgin Mistress, Scandalous Love-Child won’t be available in North America until Summer, but since it’s on shelves now in the UK, Jennie posted an excerpt online. Nice. Stay tuned, JennieLucas.com will value-add More to the Story when the book arrive on this side of The Pond.
