Twitter Terminology @elizabethyarnel

Twitter was a whole new world for me. Learning my way around was intimidating at first. This Twitter glossary, compiled by Elizabeth Yarnell on her Recipes for Publicity blog, certainly helped. I recommend bookmarking it. Elizabeth finishes off her list with a link to even more resources.

We now post our Tweets on our home page as well, toward the bottom in our little “NICE TO TWEET YOU” section. Follow us! Our most RT’d tweet thus far? “@huffingtonpost Emily Cotler: A Romance Novel for Michelle Obama http://bit.ly/BF1xP” of course…

And yes, I have come around to see the necessity of the shortened URL. I still don’t like it for all these reasons presented, but I understand its function and at the risk of sounding melodramatic, I have made my peace with it.

Yes, Emily, I agree. About the peace thing. I caved and joined Twitter, specifically so that I could reTweet said Huffington Post article.

  3. Great article for the HuffPost! It deserves to be retweeted around… hint, hint!

I’m glad to know my Twitter terms helped demystify Twitter for you — keeping on top of Web 2.0 can be a full time job, I know!
