Tuesday Tech: Checking up on yourself.

Just a short Tuesday Tech this week, folks. Short, but fun!

A while back (a while being several years, I think) I heard about this internet service which would allow you to write an email to yourself to be delivered at some future date of your choice. I thought it sounded cool, but never checked it out for myself.

Then, recently, it popped up again in my radar, so I decided to try it out. Futureme.org is the site — don’t be fooled by impostors. I wrote a short little email to be delivered when my twins turn six months next month. I plan on sitting down and writing something more interesting to myself once I find the time (heh).

You can choose to keep your email private, or you can choose to have it viewable (but anonymous) to the public. To read some of these emails in random order visit here.

I would have loved this service when I was in college, and my fantastic Sociology professor asked us all to write down a reminder to ask ourselves in ten years — “What have I done to change the world?”
